In this module, you will create a poem based on the mentor text, “Where I’m From” by George Ella Lyons. You will write your own poem using the writing process, and then share your poems with your classmates. Hopefully we will build a writing community as we go along.
Your Objectives are:
to become familiar with and apply the writing process (prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing) in your own writing.
to write a 5 stanza poem
to utilize peer conferencing techniques to help improve your writing and your classmates' writing.
to utilize technology to publish your writing.
